Chamomile
Oil German 10%
Great
skincare properties, soothing irritation and balancing the skin's functions
10ml. (1/3oz.) , 20CGCP, $99.95
Aromatherapy
Properties
Relaxing, soothing, calming the nerves without being a sedative (great
for kids!), very gentle oil for many skin conditions, digestive problems
and stress. Great skincare properties, soothing irritation and balancing
the skin's functions. Its mildness, as well as its proven effectiveness
makes it a universal remedy, even in baby care.
Some say that Roman Chamomile is better for relaxing applications and
as a remedy for ailments of the body. For skin problems however, German
Chamomile seems to be the best.
Suggested
Use
Add 3 drops to a hot bath for a blissful retreat, mixing the oils with
Aromaland's Coconut Emulsifier or some Half & Half prior to blending
it with the water (in order to prevent the oils from floating on the
surface).
Add 9 drops to 1oz. of unscented body care product. Alternatively, add
up to 9 drops of Aromaland's Therasmooth, Muscle Warm, Take Five or
Sensitive Skin Blends (which contain Chamomile) to 1oz. of unscented
body care product. You can also add 2 drops to 1oz. of Olive Oil or
unscented lotion for a homemade and highly effective diaper rash remedy.
If you are purchasing
this Essential Oil blended with Jojoba, increase the number of drops
you add to your body care or bath according to your liking.
Blends Well
With
Geranium, Lavender, Rose, Neroli, Marjoram, Cedarwood, Frankincense,
Rosewood, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang and others. Chamomile adds a soft,
warm note to a blend.
History
This herb has been used for medicinal purposes and skin therapy for
a long time, in particular in Europe. German/Blue Chamomile and Roman
Chamomile have very similar properties, however the German/Blue oil
is better because it has a higher content of Azulene
This oil is a CO2 extract, extracted by High Pressure Carbon Dioxide
method, where the oil is basically pressed out of the plant material
- a great way of obtaining high quality extracts.

Description
Reminiscent of the warm, herbal quality of Chamomile tea, this oil carries
a lot of mild herbaceous base notes. It is very warm, sweet, comforting,
slightly bitter and somewhat green.
The potency and incredible fragrancing power of Chamomile Essential
Oil make it a great investment, even though it is one of the pricier
oils. If you find it hard to dose the pure oil correctly (it is incredibly
strong and intense!), or shy away from the cost, start with Essential
Oils blended with Jojoba Oil, classified as"i/J"("in
Jojoba").
