Pygeum Bark is an anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and hormonal.

From Herbal Descriptions by Truman Berst: #3590 PYGEUM BARK (Pygeum africanum) Pygeum is the bark of an African tree; the African tribes of Natal have used pygeum tea for bladder and urinary problems. It was introduced to Europe in the 1960’s and has been used there for decades to treat prostate problems and to lessen gastric disturbances. Pygeum seems to be effective in over 50% of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Results may be as early as a few days to a few months. There are no known serious side effets with pygeum; it can be used as a preventative by men who have chronic prostate problems (using a higher dose to begin with and then cutting down to a maintenance dose). It seems to work as effectively as Proscar or Hytrin (the most common American drugs), but without the side effects.

Ingredients
Pygeum Bark, R/O Water, 12-24% Alcohol.

Methodology
Use 6-12 drops in juice, water, under the tongue or as desired. May be taken 3 times daily. Shake well. Store in cool dark place. Keep out of reach of children.
